As I keep an eye on the grid regularly.. its amusing to see that last week a couple of hundred MW of OCGT fired up for a half day, and today the oil fired power stations are flexing their muscles - as at least one nuke is down for refuelling one supposes. And the French interconnector is out for the count as well. It was supposed to be half power but is not..So a lot of pre-winter maintenance going on.
No matter want James Hansen says I think the Grid is reckoning that we may have to pull some chestnuts out of the fire to keep Germany going this winter.
Again.
