Cheap Loft Insulation

I have also seen that. Pinching the supply from the immersion for an electric shower seems to be a common DIY bodge job.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember Tony Bryer saying something like:

Fuck, tell me about it. I found one a few years back where the leccy shower didn't work because genius builder had installed a mains pressure Triton or similar on a tank-fed pipe. The underpressure switch had kept it from switching on. Just as well, because the feed from the fusebox, all the way up to the loft, across the loft and down to the extension with the shower was all run in 2.5mm cable. A couple of good long showers in the morning would have had that lighting up the loft nicely. And, the RCD was failed unsafe, so no protection there.
