Carpet

Before having a new carpet fitted i intend to fit the grippers myself this is because my floor is concrete with a bitumen coating.I intend to use a (no nails) adhesive a few days before the fitting. The carpet that is going down is felt backed, this is going over a 8mm foil backed underlay.I have couple of questions that i hope someone will be able to help me with. (1) what gap should i leave between skirting and gripper (2)will i have to use grippers with long pins because it is a felt backed carpet...Thanks for any feedback

Good idea, if you try and nail it you will probably just break away the edges of the floor.

Many people say that this carpet does not need underlay. All carpet is better with it, though.

The same gap as the thickness of the carpet.
