Building Regs Part T

Surely there is a regulation somewhere covering how many cups of tea per day should be made for workmen?

Been installing & tiling a bathroom for the last three days and only had 4 cups of tea!!!

If not Building Regs, there must be an EEC directive?

If not, I'm going to petition Gordon.

That's no good is it?

Perhaps the solution is to take your own kettle or other means of hot beverage production.

The nearest would be the Working Time legislation, but that wouldn't apply to you since you are in control of your hours of work anyway.

That would assume abilities to read and to listen.

No evidence of either.

If you use a written contract or terms, it would be simple to include a clause called Part T, or even BR Part T.

FFS I wouldn't last four *hours* let alone 3 days!

Probably covered by the JCT standard conditions of contract - adequate sanitary and refreshment facilities on site for operatives.

Sounds like you need to suggest to Mrs Handyman that she provides you with a Big Thermos each morning. (Dewalt probably make one with a built-in radio...)
