Bruise treatment

Electrical accident?

I only ask, because my father suffered such a fate, due to being down a hole in the ground with an 11kV breaker that decided it was bored of life.

He was an engineer with the LEB back in the 60's and the offending item of switchgear was rather overdue for replacement. He was called out one night due to power failure somewhere in London, and needed to reset the breaker.

All he remembered was moving the lever and then being aware that the whole vault disapeared in a haze of yellow. He managed to climb back upto street level. The pain didn't start until he was in hospital, so he said. Fortunatley, as it was winter, he was wearing a heavy wollen jumper which afforded some protection.

I never really noticed the scarring, as it was "normal" for me to see him like that, and to be fair, I wasn't born until 68, whenby the plastic surgery had patched him up fairly well and the scarring had faded to white.
