black & decker KR650RE "how do I the remove the chuck"

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Put a drill in the chuck HOLE, and whck it with a hammer. Crude impact driver.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember snipped-for-privacy@REMOVEbundy.co.uk saying something like:

If it's a reversing drill, there will probably be a small left-hand thread screw down the bottom of the chuck if you open it up fully to see.

Don't just bash away at the chuck without finding the screw first, and don't undo the screw the wrong way. Got the t-shorts.

If it can reverse, open up the chuck fully and look inside. There should be a screw head visible at the bottom in the middle of the drive shaft. It will be a *left hand* thread - ie unscrews in the opposite rotation to normal. Remove that then the chuck should unscrew as normal - if it has a chuck key insert that and whack it.
