Are any of the bath re-enamel products any good? If they're no better than tile paint, I shan't bother. Are the professional firms who do it any better?

We had a CI bath re-sprayed about 18 months ago and I would give it a thorough recommendation. Cost £200 but the guy was at it for most of the day and has given us a beautiful bath. It may be possible to do it yourself but apart from the material costs you would need to have the right spraying skill and the right equipment, plus I wouldn't like to have been subject to the fumes that our guy was even with all the filtering equipment he was wearing.

Tried it in the summer, OK so far.
Can you change colour? My mother's got a cast iron bath in an unfortunate tan brown. White would be nicer. It is in excellent condition, no rust or scratches.

Yup. I had a thirties green bath refinished in white.
