B&Q PPpro 4-pack £75 today

in Reading, at least.

18V combi drill, circular saw, jigsaw & torch + 3 batteries & quick-ish (c. 1 hour) intelligent charger: £75 - about half what I paid for mine (grrr!).

Keep an eye on their prices for the next 2 months. They will be trying to move tools by cutting their prices. Don't forget this is their slack time before they experience their Christmas, which occurs at Easter.

The local B&Q has had some power-tools on "Clearance" since October last year!

I suspect that if they really are clearance the offer continues until they've sold or othersise disposed of all the stock. When I got my 'Site' drill last year there was no advertising or any other sign of it but since I knew they had had some on offer I asked and they produced the last one in the shop from a box partly hidden under a display counter - and sold it to me at the offer price.

OTOH this PPpro set has been up and down in price over the last few months and the droid I spoke to in the shop said it wasn't end-of-line, just an offer. However I don't suppose B&Q droids at the bottom of the food chain know much more than the punters do, so we will see....
