Anybody used the crabtree sockets with clip on faceplates?

I am after some chrome, flat plate double sockets for the kitchen - maybe these from screwfix...

wondering if the section screwed to the backbox can cope with the back boxes not being flush with the wall? With a normal socket with screws through the front, it doesnt really matter the backbox isnt flush - you just get longer screws and the faceplate grips the surrounding plaster. But without seeing these crabtree ones in the flesh it is hard to tell if the fitting behind the faceplate must go right up to the backbox or not.

Anyone here used them?

cheers

Dave.

It needs to sit on a level surface to look right, but that applies to any fitting.

yeah the wall itself is level, but does it matter if the back box rim is

10mm behind the wall surface? (which it probably will be once the tiles are in place)
