Another website software question

Thanks so much for all the comments and suggestions in my WYSIWYG web design thread. I'm asking this question separately so it doesn't get lost in that continuing discussion.

As a break from evaluating drag-and-drop type editors, I took another look at the raw code for my site, using Notepad++ . This has a handy "Run" option which opens files in a browser of your choice, but it only generates the results of the particular single file that's being edited - so if I'm working on index.php for example, all you see in the preview is what's coded in that file, without all the other elements added by others (background, headings, menu and so on).

Is there a way of previewing my entire site offline? Many thanks.

If the other content is handled by 'including' other files into the index.php file, then you'll need to run it inside a PHP interpreter to see that.

There are several easy bundles to install a WAMP server ...

Thanks, Andy. That sounds like exactly what I need.

Andy, I've gone for Easyphp which works beautifully and simply, apart from the need to put copies of the website files I'm working on into a special subdirectory so the program can access them (though perhaps that's no bad thing, since I can then muck about with them while leaving the originals safely intact). Thanks very much for the recommendation.

What about accessibility for the blind on this website? Brian

An excellent question and one I'm extremely aware of, though I'm not sure how successful or otherwise I've been. Brian, if you have a moment, could you try to navigate around the site and let me know what happens?

It's at

Many thanks.
