Another Bog Fitting/Layout Question

Hi all

Following the downward pointing pan outlet, I am looking for inspiration.

Hoping to re-furb the existing wall mounted cistern, box it in and fit a back to wall pan against the boxing. Unfortunately, the drain is in the floor, fairly well forward of the cistern. So to box in the soil pipe inlet as well as the cistern would mean the pan being a long way forward. Any suggestions as to how to get around this please?

TIA

Phil

So, to put the loo where you want it, the soil pipe would be under the loo ? I guess you could get a squat loo, and put it on top of some boxing with a suitable adapter to connect in the boxing under the loo. Might look a bit strange though. Or, position the loo to one side of the pipe (if possible for you layout) and hide the connection as best you can ! Cheers, Simon.

Post some dimensions - there's a way round most things, but depends on exact measurements.

Find a local plumbers merchant (but not plumbcenter) WC pans are available with down facing outlets upto about 300mm from the wall. Just don't expect B&Q elcheapo prices.

Measured up last night and findings are as follows:

Overall length of toilet space = 1725mm Overall width of toilet space = 955mm At end wall where toilet backs onto, this width reduces to 700mm due to boxing for stack from above. Distance from end wall to drain inlet in floor is 270mm Distance from side wall to drain inlet in floor (opposite side wall to box work) is 405mm.

To clarify, room is rectangular in plan with toilet against one end of rectangle. But there is boxing in the corner to one side of the toilet (right hand side viewed from in front of toilet).

Thanks for help

Phil
