alarm problem

Hi

Any alarm specialists out there?

Omnicrom 8000 old but good - Set as three zone

Walk test ok sound test ok security test ok no stuck buttons on panel or external keypad

fault=

intermittent beeping from control panel sounder (no discernable/repeatable conditions)

seems to be getting longer periods of fault as time goes on (5 weeks now)

Driving me crazy....

Any pointers Please.......

Mains and fuses fine. Substituted battery

Still same prob :)

Hi Check pcb fuse carriers/fuses may be dirty with age ,check external bell if SAB or SCB nicads may be goosed. Or look round for a battery operated smoke detector or similar near the panel .(Fooled me once found a mobile dropped behind a rad near the panel).

Been caught myself in kitchen looking for intermittent strange beeping noise, (2 weeks to find battery goosed spare smoke detector placed under sink by SWMBO)

External Bell box never even gave it a thought, arrange ladder from m8 and will check out.

Bell box battery pack it appears to be, replaced and fingers crossed the fault has disappeared (peace....ahhhhhhh)
