Additional outside light

Well, I hooked up an exisiting outside lights (2 of them), and lo-and-behold only 1 works, despite the wiring being there for both (wiring goes from light 1 to light 2 which then goes to the loft - where connected into the ring. To cut long story short the wire to light 2 has been cut and I was able to pull the wire out.

So my question is how do I get a wire up an existing hole in the wall and into the attic, the direction is not just up but also right then up again. The wall is brick fascia and breeze block beneath. Any ideas?

Thanks

Bad move - if you`d left it in, you would have been able to use it as a fish-wire...

Not sure if you`re technically allowed to do this work now under part P as you`re essentially rewiring a point.

Nah, I'm sure he's doing a repair! Anyway, up and to the side is going to be a mare. You may find it _easier_, but by no means easy, to come down. Push some packing tape in the lower hole, and allow it to form a loop inside the cavity. Use some fairly stiff wire and push it down the cavity, catch it with the loop, and pull in your lighting cable. Job for two.
