4mm hex bits

Hi All

Easy enough to get a complete set of hexagon bits for your drill driver, but I just want the 4mm ones - I assemble a lot of flat pack.

Anyone know where I can buy individual hex bits?

Anywhere that sells hex bits of a quality you'd want to use. Better ones are usually individual, cheapies come in sets of a dozen and you'll still wear them all out quicker. Snap-on are the best (and not expensive), or Wiha from a good engineer's supplier. Maybe from Axminster, but I think they only do sets and bulk packs. If you get decent quality ones then buying sets is no problem because you don't keep on breaking them like the cheap squishy ones (and hexs last for longer anyway).

Hi,

Just use a length of 4mm hex bar in a 4mm socket.

A long reach 4mm allen key can be cut/ground into quite a few bits.

The end off a ball end allen key would be pretty handy.

A local £ shop may have a kit including the socket and square to hex adapter.

cheers, Pete.
