PIPE WRAP QUESTION

It may be a non-issue but here's the question. Just had a guy replace my outside Pressure Vacuum Breaker. He adhered the contoured foam pipe protection to the pipe with a tape called "FLEX-FIX for Class 1 Duct" instead of the original tape which was "PVC Pipewrap 10 mil. - all weather". Does this job require the latter version (10 mil.) or is the tape he used ok? Does it matter? Thanks in advance - Brian.

Could you please explain what a "pressure vacuum breaker" is?
Kind of sounds like an oxy moron to me.
A vacuum breaker on yard hydrants and/or yard sprinkler systems are used to prevent back syphonage under certain conditions and they are atmospheric vacuum breakers.

welcome to the world of cross-contamination control. A PVB is a type of back-flow preventer. A step up from an atmospheric vacuum breaker but a step below a dual-check or reduced-pressure backflow device.
