What that glue?

What's that popular rubber-like glue used to stick come-on credit cards to mailers and other labels without destroying the paper when separated? You know, the stuff that comes unstuck fairly easily and then remains a long rubberband-like strand. Is that type of glue/adhesive available off-the-shelf? If so, where and what is the brand name? Thank you.

Agreed, but I find it funny that the fugitive glue is referred to as booger glue. That good ol' rubber cement is the OBG... original booger glue! Rolling it up and flinging it at lil' Susie and the other girls to the screams of "Ewwww!" and "Yer gross!" is a time honored grade-school right of passage. ;)

It's made by 3M, and is called "Gummy Glue".

It's a low-temp hot-melt adhesive. You buy it in 2" sticks for use in a glue-gun meant to use it. It's not cheap.

Start with Google to find a distributor in your area.

An alternative to 3M's "Gummy Glue" is "Glue Dots", which are a similar material, but ready-made, and available in different tacks and thicknesses.

Go to any office supply store (Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, etc.) and ask for "glue dots" (called booger glue in the printing/binding trade).
