Well water tank

I need to reroute the oulet water pipe on the pressurized well water tank. Can I just trun off the power and remove the outlet pipe without loosing all pressure? If I loose the air/water, how much air do I put back in the tank?

Only if you have a gate at the outlet of the tank and shut it off before unscrewing any pipes......

If its a bladder type tank, you shouldnt lose any air regardless, unless you open up the air valve on top the tank--but generally, a bladder tank is charged to 3~5 psi lower than the cut-in pressure setting for the pump.

If its an older ( non bladder type with air volume controls ) tank, your best bet is to just go ahead and drain it, as it will automatically re-adjust to the proper air volume given time, so long as everything there is working properly.
