UBC Question

I am remodeling a bathroom. One potential contractor mentioned a requirement that the center line of the toilet be spaced 18" from the neighboring vanity (on one side) and from the shower stall (on the other). That's a lot of free space. Does anyone know if this is true?
How about a link to the UBC?

search google.com for your local city and state codes. also: http://www.access-board.gov/adaag/html/adaag.htm while you are looking at the bathroom toilet dimensions, think about grab bars and spacings for handicap wheelchair use including doorway, a roll-in shower, and a roll under wall hung sink. this is time well spent for future use by all ages and disabilities. yustr wrote:
