I can look again, but a review I read went into reception and how well they fared at being able to get signals when some boxes would not get them. I think it was a retailer selling several brands. What box are you referring to because I need 2 soon. Besides the best box I plan on getting a new large antenna.

you do realize that you can not only live without television, but you might even get more things accomplished. you could use the time you waste watching tv to learn something new or work on hobbies. i get my local weather & news online. i haven't watched tv in well over 20 years. there's really nothing worth watching (although i do have satellite for Discovery channel etc for other members of the family). i also have a book addiction...

do you think he'll have a library? if so, what books would it contain? lee

I hope it's better than Bill's. His was way overpriced, and the relevant books could be contained in a bathroom stall and still be in proper memory, proper tribute, and in the proper place for the man.
At least Bush's books will have words in them.

I've read that Bush reads many books every year. He's Harvard and Yale educated, good enough to pass jet-fighter training(NOT any easy task),survival school(SERE),and survived flying a dangerous model of fighter jet(F-102).

I also hear that he went AWOL, is an alcoholic and is considered the most unpopular President in history.
And oh yeah....he is handing out trillions of our money to his friends.

There's a difference between what's provable amongst that which is heard. Dan Rather claimed Bush went AWOL, and Rather got fired. Bush admitted to being an alcoholic (reformed). I rather doubt he's the most unpopular president in history considering Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, Jackson, U.S. Grant, and others.
As for handing out trillions to his friends, give the guy some credit. It would be really stupid to hand out money to his enemies.

Yes, back in September everybody and their brother thought it was a good idea to send $200 billion to fannie/freddy, then $700 billion to New York (wall street), then another $150 billion in "stimulation pork", this treasury robbing was a totally non-partisan vote. Except for the group of republicans who thought market forces should allow the wall street firms to fail/converge by voting against it. In the end those republicans will be proven right, there should not have been any wall street bailouts. If anything the dems were in lock-step in this corporate welfare give-away.

To be fair it was the democratic controlled congress who simply picked our pockets to come up with the bailout money that should never have been appropriated. The red and blue teams simply operate on behalf of a select few.

I am getting damn sick of hearing this bullshit about Bush's failure with Katrina.
First of all, Katrina was the third major Hurricane to hit the US within two months. That resulted in most of the emergency resources having already been commited elsewhere and were not easily moved. Most of those resources were volunteers who had jobs and families to attend to and were tired and needed a break.
Second, everybody with half a brain knew that New Orleans needed to be totally evacuated well in advance of Katrina landfall. It was one of the most stupid decisions by the Mayor of New Orleans that I have ever witnessed and the only reason he was not raked over the coals for it was because the media was afraid of saying anything against a black mayor.
Third, the entire infrastructure of the New Orleans area was rendered unusable by the storm. Roads into New Orleans were flooded, bridges were destroyed, electricty was knocked out, and the ability of the volunteers to reach the area (volunteers who must find their own way to each disaster) was blocked from every direction.
Fourth, the funds for maintaining the levies in New Orleans were being syphoned off and used for everything except maintaining and upgrading the levies. It was far more important to the political establishment to have that money for casinos and gambling than for maintaining their city.
Fifth, the city of New Orleans was a sewer long before Katrina hit and it should have been moved to higher ground long ago. It is one of the dumbest things imaginable to continue to dump taxpayer funds into that cess pool when we know that it is impossible to protect New Orleans against a major storm of Katrina's size. There will be another storm, maybe this year, maybe not for another decade but it will hit and it will have the same result.
New Orleans was a disaster waiting to happen and it is still waiting to happen yet again. That was not Bush's fault and neither was the outcome of this disaster.

You wouldn't know the worst president in our history if he kicked you in your stupid ass. The city was a wreak before Katrina hit and should have been abandoned long ago.

Yeah but like many of the old crappers, it only partially flushed and a lot of stinky crap still remains. It needs a second flush to complete the job.

The year we lose our TV signals:

Well, you can say what you want about Bush, but I believe you have to admit that he as been the guy in charge of an administration that:
1) bungled a war (and pacification) worse than anything since Vietnam
and
2) bungled the economy worse than anything since the 1929 depression.
That's pretty impressive miss-management even by American standards.

There he had the help of the Democratic Congress. Remember how our system works? He is President, not dictator.
