Replacing window screens

I am looking for a replacement screen. So far the only Internet picture that I see that matches is this one:

Anyone know who makes this type? It is 35 years old.

Doesn't look too unusual. Do you have another window in the house with a matching screen? Even if the size isn't exactly the same, one that could be copied for style? Most any full-service window company should be able to fabricate something that will fit, and be close enough in details that nobody will ever notice unless you point it out. Replacing a missing screen is a real common problem- they are used to it. If you don't feel confident taking field measurements, most make house calls for a small fee- measuring the window in question will only take them a few minutes.

Even the Borg has some stock screens or as aemeijers said, any glass company will make one.

The Borgs will have screen material-- most hardware stores will even put it in for you. A window shop will have more selection and not charge a lot more.

I just put in a new Anderson window. I was feeling good the day I ordered it, so I ordered the 'Tru-scene' screen. I really didn't think it would look any different than the regular screens--- until the window was in.

Now I'm looking for Tru-scene type material to do the rest of the windows in the house- at least those on the south side.

I don't have your answer-- just saying that it is worth your while to call a few places and do some web searches, as all screens are not created equal.

[search for things like Truscene, seeVue, Inlighten ]

if you have the frame, many local hardware stores can repair or replace the screen
