Remnants from bees.

I had a large number of bees which found a home in the wall of my house. I am not sure what kind of bees they were, but I know that one of them stung me! I killed them by spreading a bee-killing powder by the 2 holes they had made in the wall.

Do I need to open up the wall to remove what their "hive" or thier "home" or whatever? Should I just caulk over the holes so no more bees make a home their?

Thanks for your help....

It they were honey bees, first shame on you for killing them. They are good and are having a real problem these days. However considering how few are left, they were likely not honey bees. If they were there will be honey in there and that will not be all that nice in time to come dripping down the wall and or growing quite a bit of mold.

need to determine if they were honey bees or yellow jackets..if they were honey bees,it would be advisable to open up the wall to remove the honey.

While looking in the mirror a bit ago, I noticed that I look more like myself now than I did a while back.
