No, Sprague and other OEMs called it 'Power Factor'. The term was used with their voltage doubler electrolytics made for TVs in the '60s. They also specified the maximum AC current the capacitors could handle.

They overloaded a perfectly useful term, making it useless.

Capacitors still do.

Not much rest for me, today. It is 8:30 and I'm just getting home. After all this time and effort, car still not fixed. Rain for next 4 days. Not good. Church was excellent, though.

He wasn't dumb enough to commit the phrase to print. See GW Bush and "Turdblossom" (Karl Rove).
The word for "idiot" he used wasn't the Russian village sort, but the Greek word for a non-participant in politics. http://ancienthistory.about.com/od/greekpolitics/f/GreekIdiots.htm

Arf arf. As it happens we have a self professed conservative cheerleader here in R.C.M to check your proclamation against. In fact he would probably say he's the MOST conservative poster here since he claims to be submitting the names of future victims to the holders of the "great cull list" which is apparently something most of you lesser conservatives aren't privy to. Is he the hardest worker with the most savings and and investments and riches? Well he WORKS HARD at not working and at posting and at fantasizing. He SAVES MONEY by not paying his bills. He INVESTS his income in soda and guns and beater motor vehicles and late payment fees. He has a RICH collection of decades of liens against him. Of course that's not how he presents himself and like you he can't stop overgeneralizing. His idiotic posturing is typical of phony conservatives here and in lieu of evidence to the contrary I'm going to count you as another of them. I'm sure you'll consider it fair that I take a page out of your playbook and declare that since it's a FACT that the biggest windbag "conservative" here is a documented broke ass liar then it follows that "usually" the rest of you are the same.

Try to avoid conflating "conservatives" with reactionary oligarchic and wannabe aristos.
Conservatives do indeed generally work hard, generally save their money, generally invest [not speculate], and many times do get rich, although not quickly or easily, and not at some one else's expense. They also do not evade their fair share of taxes.
For one example of a reactionary oligarch and wannabe aristo in action see:

In many ways this presidential election reduces to a "choice" equivalent to "do you prefer to be shot by firing squad or hanged?" God help the Republic and people of the United States!

You might try visiting some trailer parks in the gun loving south for example. You'll meet lots of conservatives perhaps even a majority but few of them will fit your description. You'll find that while they're not rich or possessed of any savings or investments they can still live spartan but relatively carefree lifestyles owing to a variety of monthly checks and free healthcare thanks to harder working people. The boredom and lack of satisfaction with that lifestyle is an incentive for some of them to post complete and utter horseshit about conservatives being more responsible and the religious being more moral etc. Sometimes I wonder if it were possible to follow the wires back to all the so called conservative posters here the majority might lead to doublewides where dinnertime discussion revolves around "Obammy" and the evil socialists taxing cigarettes and beer.

I watched part of the video and it left me with one overriding question. Who made the decision to sell the freaking company to Romney's group to start with? If the owner hadn't sold out, none of the tragedy would have happened. It seems to me they're blaming the wrong person. Did the employees get together and offer to buy the company and run it themselves? Did the holding company send a hired gun to beat up the owner and steal his/her/its company? o_O

NYS is scheduled for 4 days of cold and rain. I spent much of today trying to help fix a car, for a friend. No go, the car is still undrivable. That's really going to be rough.

Other way around, sadly. The people with the broken car, they paid the bill but the propane delivery company is experiencing confusion. So, the temps are in the 40s over night, and the propane tanks are empty.
