My Maytag washer is on the fritz:-(

anyone know what is wrong when your washer just keeps filling up with water instead of stopping where it's been told to via the water level knob? And it won't agitate int he wash cycle. All it will do is spin itself out. Maytag is only 3-4 years old. Help. What do I need to get fixed? Thanks in advance plantfreek
