Are all LVL's created equal?
Menards offers one brand but I have never been happy with some of their other lumber products. Last week it was #2 or better construction lumber in 2x8 size. All open knots, cracks and checked ends.
If an LVL is made to specs, is this all which matters?
I haven't noticed a difference in LVL's (Laminated Veneer Lumber). Check the specs though. Some cheaper brands will have a lower modulus of elasticity.
