Looking for shower door part. Help!

Hi everyone-

Just moved into a home built in 2000. The "shower door" actually consists of two doors that slide back and forth on a track in the top rail. The doors hang free, essentially, in that there are no rollers on the bottom of the doors.

There is a piece of plastic that is screwed into the bottom track/runner that keeps the doors aligned and prevents them from banging into one another. It has two pieces that project up, between the doors and on the inside of the inner door. This keeps the doors from moving out of the vertical plane they are supposed to be in.

Anyway, the vertical parts that actually do the work have broken off. So, this thing doesn't work and the doors can bang into one another.

There is no manufacturer label on the shower door assembly; I have no way to tell who made it. Lowes/HD/Menards don't carry such parts. A local plumbing specialist store parts counter guy took a look, and ruled out that it was from a brand they carried.

I don't currently have a good way to post a picture of it, but I am hopeful that someone here can point me to a good site that has pictures of parts like this for sale so I can match it up.

Any help gratefully accepted.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to those that posted some useful links! I'll measure the original part tonight and see if one of the ones linked will be a close enough match!

Marc,

Your house was built in 2000 so you can probably find the general contractor, who will know the plumbing contractor, who will know the manufacturer.

Good luck, Dave M.
