Home or small generators Without Voltage regulation normaly start at
135 No load and reach 120 at Full rated load . Voltage regulated units start at apx 125 no load and 120 under full load. If using any voltage sensitive apliances with circuts no load 135 can cause damage. And today alot of apliances have them . Also higher rpm= voltage -affects Hertz. Use a voltmeter first . Radioshack sells Kill A Watt which measures Hertz if you you need to verify your unit. Also letting a unit stop because of no gas can mess up motor Capicators. Know your Unit- posted
