Gap at edge of insulating blinds

What's a good way to seal the edges of those cellular insulating blinds (such as Bali and Hunter Douglas). They leave a small gap at each side so that the things move up and down easily, but that's a source of heat loss as far as I can see. I was thinking maybe a thin trim of sponge insulation strip or a strip of wood around the edge on the inside face.

Any tips welcomed

If you're that concerned with the heat loss it would make more sense to use some of that heat-shrink clear plastic directly onto the window sash.
