A shotgun for killing flies.

Will it work on bees and mosquitoes?

Boy howdy! If it works on wasps, I'll buy three!

(Oops, I accidentally emailed a reply to OP. Sorry about that... I didn't notice that my email program now uses reply to mean to an individual and has a separate "follow-up" button to send to the newsgroup. Anyhow, my question to the group is:)

I've been holding onto this post to remind me to keep an eye out for this, and now they are available on line. I'm thinking it might be interesting for a hard to buy for relative.

So, has anyone bought one of these yet? Tried one? I have no interest in one for myself, so if I get one, it would be sitting in a closet until Christmas, and it would probably be too late then to return it if it doesn't work.

It's getting cold and all the flies and wasps are dying off for the Winter. When they get down to "ships within 48 hrs", get back to me.

That looks very satisfying, and a lot of fun.

I ended up buying this on eBay, since the seller(s) there appeared to have a better availability and shipping. I rec'd it with no problems.

So today was the big day. I gave the Bug-a-salt to my brother, who loved it. He didn't get a chance to try it out because they didn't have any salt (go figure!), just fake salt and we didn't know if that would work.

No flies to try it on, but my SIL made a jello mold that had a lot of left-overs, and I think it could be in peril once my brother gets some ammo, er salt.(One of the company's online videos shows shooting it at jello).

Should. Now Dec. Airborne bugs all dead. I'll wait fer Spring.

I wonder if the gun will work with kosher salt. Seems it would be the salt equivalent to buck shot. ;)

Per NotMe:

I'd think so.

When I lived in Hawaii, somebody I knew used a slingshot and table salt on something that flew - although I can't say for sure it was flys... could've been roaches or both.

IIRC, it does not kill them - just perforates the wings so they wind up buzzing around on the floor.
