Are these bifold nylon guide pins supposed to break after so many years? Are there metal ones that don't squeak and that last longer? Recently, one broke in the middle of the night, the bifold door fell and damaged some woodwork trim. These could be a hazard to young children.
my doors have been in for 23 years, used daily and have never broken. You might check to see that the doors are hung properly and don't 'bind' on the jams when opening and closing. This might put stress on the pins and cause tern to wear and eventually break.
