Acid Staining Retaining Wall Concrete Blocks

I have a retaining wall comprised of red bricks. Is it possible to apply an acid stain that would make it a gray color? Or am I completely out of luck if I would like to change the color?

mix cement and water, thin as paint, paint it on. And enjoy a wall that looks like crap.

Most people are trying to get concrete to look any thing but grey. You're fighting upstream. I suppose you could try a light silver/like stain. Anything you do will be an experiment as I don't think anyone else has been trying to go your direction. If you are willing to go opaque, you might look here:

rainbow colorants are a bit more like paint.

Our cement pool deck is in dire need of improvement. I love the look of acid staining and wonder if it's a viable do it yourself project for two relatively unskilled but willing people. Neither of us has worked with cement, but we're great wall painters!

Is this a reasonable project for newbies to take on?

Thanks in advance for all appreciated advice or feeedback!

would think that acid stain should be something you can do.
