R410a hoses??

Steve;

I have been using hoses with "locking fittings" [sometimes called "no-loss"] that have a bursting pressure of 2000 psig. Then, recently I bought some hoses that purportedly were for 410a and had a bursting pressure of 5000 psig. I'm not sure what you mean "dry-break" but I've noticed the locking fitting [no-loss] on the high side stuck a few times and released the hose charge. The hose cost enough, I'd think they wouldn't stick.

Maybe Noon has conquered time-travel? If so, I hope he keeps working on it. Think of the things he could tell us...

Are they still using Puron in Flash Gordon's day?

Are Trane condensers finally bigger than the average home?

Will Buck Rodgers' replace his 398 SEER central system with the federally mandated standard of 401 SEER? Or will Buck just have the super-colliding compressor changed out by the guy who can get his suction line "beer can cold"?

Are the Jetsons still changing air-filters, or have evaporator coils become disposable?

Who won the next 150 Super Bowls?

The possibilities!

Did global warming melt all the ice caps and cause New Orleans to flood, again?

Were automobiles outlawed as unsafe, and now everyone in the US travels by bicycle?

Is there a farting tax for the environment?

Is electricity still legal, seeing as how it kills so many people?

Is alt.havoc still frequented by flamers who call people names and solicit donations to cat rescue in the same post?

Has anybody run across "dry-break" fittings on charging hoses that will stand up to the higher pressures of R-410a?? or will the ones on the regular hoses work ok??
