Florida Heat Pump or Water Furnace

Two different proposals for new construction (requiring 3 systems due to it's size).

Water Furnace

 1. Model #NDH072A 6 ton dual capacity compressor with variable speed blower package, 15 kW heater, de-superheater, 2-zone system.
 2. Model #E048BLR 4 ton capacity compressor with variable speed blower, 15 kW heater
 3. Model #NDZ064 5 ton split system with a de-superheater, 5 ton variable speed blower, 15 kW heater.

vs.

Florida Heat Pump

6 ton split system with a Lennox variable speed blower 6 ton split system with a Lennox variable speed blower 4 ton split system

I'm looking for comparisons of quality, cost, etc.

Thanks!

I'd stay away from those Flordia heatpumps and go with one of the New York models.

The first will be great in Papa Bears home, the second will be great for Baby Bears home, The third, of course, will be great for Mama Bears home...

You've got 6 options & 5 different sizes???? How many bidders involved, & which one ran loads? Why the Frankensteined systems, why not match mfgr blowers w/units???

I'd stay away from those Ohio Heat Pumps & go with the Gator state HP...

The house requires 3 systems in different configurations.

I am a supporter of WFI. The second system in your WFI grouping is an obsolete model. If you can stick with a package unit you are better off doing so.

How were your loads performed. Do you have the readouts on them. WHat kind of reputation do your companies have. Who has installed more Geo units. Look at some of their installs, talk to thier references about true nergy savings. Most people that get GEO are very proud of their installations and will gladly invite you in to look at them ande speak to them.
