question regarding tulip bulbs

hello,

i have uprooted my tulips from the ground since some of the bulbs had some fungus growing on them. i cleaned the fungus by removing some of the externals layers and am drying the bulbs now

the bulbs are still attached to the uprooted foliage. should i cut the foliage or would the greenness in the foliage be converted to energy in the bulbs and when the foliage turns yellow i can cut the foliage then?

Leave the foliage on until it is completely dried.

As to the fungus, I would say throw these away since the fungus may carry virus.
