Like Pappy always said, "Things ain't never so bad they cain't get a whole lot worse."

Yeah the farmer's market in Klamath Falls is gonna have new rules this year to 'protect' consumers. We're not gonna be allowed to have free samples of our produce anymore for starters, I was told about a bunch new regulations, but that is the only one I remember off the top of my head. And we're gonna have a USDA official patrolling the market this year apparently too...they're supposed to check the market out at least once a year anyways, but I don't remember seeing one last year, but now I guess we're gonna have the farmer's market police. As someone who's sole source of income is farmer's market/a roadside stand, I will definitely contact the ****heads in charge of voting on the 'food safety bill'. But I'll have some chocolate first so I don't do anything to get arrested ;-)

Congress has always consulted "professionals" in the field of expertise when they put together legislation to protect us from ourselves. Of course, the "professionals" consulted usually benefit in that legislation (another form of pork). The current Congress will do just that, opposed to a small government approach that preceded it. Just makes you feel warm and cozy all over, doesn't it?

The hell?

What people need to do is start selling stock in their produce. Then the "stockholders" can just come and pick up their own food every week!

clicked that link and read part of the article before I noticed an ad for McDonalds smack dab in the middle of the page.

Oh, the irony.
