I've been using a plastic wood effect scotia moulding to trim out my motorhome i'm building, it's ideal for my needs, i have bent it to go round corners by steaming it, it cuts easily using a knife, and being plastic wont be affected by moisture, unlike that MDF stuff i see everywhere.
Problem is i'm halfway through the job, have run out of the stocks i had bought, and the shop i got it from has run out too, they are an independant wood suppliers, but they wont buy anymore in untill they have sold all the other stuff they have, which are different coloured wood effects to what i need.
The bloke wont tell me where he gets the moulding from, or even it's brand name, so i'm drawing a blank finding some more.
Anyone know what i'm describing?
They also do a small skirting board in the same plastic stuff, i guess it's a polystyrene, it has a sort of open cell structure at the cut ends, the core is white, and they do a white version, plus about 6 different wood effects, the one i'm using is the cherry effect, as all my cabinets in the van are cherry.
They come in 2 meter lengths, and i don't need a lot, prolly 5 or 6 lengths of the cherry stuff, and 2 lengths of the white stuff, it's all i need to finish the van's trim off, and now i can't get it.
My local B&Q&Q&Q&Q some more, had some in with their laminate flooring, but it wasnt the scotia moulding, the other stuff.. bows outwards, but it was the plastic stuff, and they were getting rid of it all as they prefered to sell the laminated MDF stuff they said, and again couldent tell me what brand or where to get some more of the stuff i want.
