After purchasing a number of books about wiring and requirements I came across this latest edition from the IEE:
Electrician's Guide to the Building Regulations (Approved Document P, Electrical Safety in Dwellings) ISBN 086341463X It is very useful and certainly worth the £16.15 price at amazon. Clear consise pictures, helpful information. (Almost like the IEE didn't write it ;-))
It covers part P, as well and the drawings of how locations such as kitchens and other special locations should be wired are really good. Highlights clearly what your requirements are for the Part P regs. Which is something that we have all struggled to understand.
