Letterbox

Probably one of the most boring queries to be posted on here, but here goes...

I need to replace out letterbox, but none of the main DIY stores (Homebase and B&Q) sell one that is big enough. I don't really want to start filling in the door, to use a smaller letterbox, so wondered if anyone knew of any online specialists?

The letterbox that needs replacing is nothing special. In fact, everyone on our 1997 housing estate has one. It's just that the mounting screws are around 11" apart, with the entire letterbox being around 12" wide.

It is actually not a bad letterbox, as it comes with matching in and out flaps. But it's knackered, and keeps banging in the wind, so I just need something better.

I'm sure that both Homebase and B&Q do a 300/350mm letterbox, I bought one from B&Q either in one of their Edinburgh stores, or, online, I use both equally often so cant remember which.

Failing sourcing one at B&Q or Homebase, try ScrewFix

. One benefit is, they've a faster delivery time (often next day) and I think, a better selection and choice, with brass, chromed and brushed available in most of their door furniture.
