Can someone please tell me what the name is of the concrete covering that sealant is applied to along with the window frame (sorry for the poor description!). It's the bit than goes from the wall to meet the window frame and that you would run silicone down to seal to the window frame.

Wherabouts is this concrete covering, is it on the side or above the frame?

Yep, reveal. That's what its called on the inside of the window, but probably the same on the outside.
do you mean the mortar pointing between brickwork and window?
