Central heating Landis & Steafa RWB9 controller

The controller has been playing up in the last six months ie not turning off at preset times also at times the room thermastat gets ignored in that radiators get hotter and hotter. Temp solution was to turn controller off as necessary.

Thought problem was that controller was faulty so switched electrics off and took controller off back plate in order to purchase new one.

Then switched electric on again and system can on ie heating and hot water. Is this normal or point to a fault in wiring.

Did not buy new controller

It suggests a wiring fault. What sort of a system do you have? Look at
