Harbor Freight 3rd Hand Support

Has anyone had experience with the Harbor Freight version of the 3rd Hand Support Bar

Item Number 95746, and/or how it compares to the Fastcap original. I'm interested in the HB one asit is so much less expensive and I will likely be using it onlyoccasionally. For instance I'll want 4 of them to set up dust containmentfor a living room remodling project. I'm interested in how well they aremade and whether they hold up with very much use. A trip to a local HB retail store wasn't helpful as they didn't have any in stock because apparently they are pretty popular and sold out right away. Thanks a lot, Jer

They are running a special on them right now which is why they are hard to find...

I looked at them myself the other day (catalog, not in person) and thught they were interesting. I'd also be interested in quality comments.

The last thing I got from Harbor Freight was a pack of 36 1/8" double ended drill bits. I figured for the price that if they were junk, no problem.

Imagine my surprise when it turned out that they were well worth the price! I've broken no more than I'd expected, they come properly sharpened (execpt for one that was sharpened off-center) and do a very good job of holding an edge.

Thanks, Peter. I kinda wanted to lay my hands on one before buying but they are apparently a new item for HF and as I said the supply apparently didn't last long. When I visited the store yesterday the clerk said contractors grabbed them up so I thought maybe they are worth the price at least. I've purchased HF stuff in the past realizing the quality can leave something to be desired but when I don't use some of these tools often I like the savings. So far not much response on this item though. I hope to hear from people who have used these or the Fastcap but if not may go ahead and take a chance and order four. Thanks again, Jer
