The 9-11 investigation into building construction recommends that elevators now have wiring that won't short circuit when exposed to water.
OK.
But are they also recommending that the elevators must have backup power to keep running when the building power shuts off? How long do the diesel generators have to keep the things running?
I guess we'll find out tomorrow when the recommendations come out in their entirety....
