I would like to help, but I have no idea what you are talking about. What kind of heater? As far as the a/c, is it a heat pump, or a electric furnace with air conditioning? These are called an outdoor unit and an indoor unit if it is a heat pump and the outdoor unit is called a condenser, the indoor unit is called an air handler if it is a electric heat furnace with air conditioning.

After studing your complaint I think you have a heat pump? In the heat mode you will not have a strong air flow. You will have a lot more air flow in the air conditioning mode. Heat pumps have a defrost cycle every 30 or 60 0r 90 minutes for a max. of approx. 10 minutes during which time the unit is atually in the air conditioning mode. You can verify this by checking the outdoor unit fan. If it is not running and you are getting high air flow and cold air at the indooor vents it is in a defrost cycle. when it comes out of defrost the indoor fan will slow down and you will get heat again. This is normal operation. The electric funace in the attic has electric heaters that come on at a point called a balance point when the outdoor unit can no longer handle the inside heat requirement. The normal balance point is normally 35 to 45 deg.F outdoor temperature. I hope this helps but if you need more info or you think you do have a problem I will be happy to attempt. to help you resolve it.

You are welcome. Remember to change your air filter every 30 days and you should have the unit serviced spring and fall by a qualified HVAC tech. If you have anymore questions or need any more info just type in stanchaneyhvacr in your browser and you should find me.
