installing the right size trap for a 8 in. deep sink, replacing a 5 in. deep sink

replace a 5 in. deep sink with a 8 in deep sink. the problem is that the waste trap is to shot by 4 ins. to reach the waste pike coming out from the wall, since the new sink is 3 to 4 ins. lower.

I'm picturing (hint-hint) that you mean the wall's drain pipe is too high on the wall for the old trap assembly to be re-used as-is. Well, you'll either have to cut something shorter on the old assembly or to start over with a new assembly...also custom cut to fit.

- If that still isn't enough. You can attach the trap directly to the sink drain's tail with a Union Fitting. If still not, then the only other options are to return the new sink and re-install the old sink. Or, to open the wall and move that pipe down to where the new sink works out properly.
