I would like to change the color of a parquet floor with polyurethane coating without sanding the poly. What works on parquet?

The floor is currently a light oak colored parquet with polyurethane coating, and it does not match the floors in next room (actually hallway). Will the tinted poly with clear coating recommendation work on parquet six inch squares?
