i switch my electric mixer on the motor only humms doesnt turn drum i give the belt a spin and the mixer turns as it should

i switch my belle electric mixer on and the motor only hummss but will not turn drum, i give the belt a push then motor runs as it should mike

It could be an old stretched belt getting caught at the housing. But, you might have noticed anything like that/ So it's more likely your Tensioner Wheel has developed a flat spot in its bearings.
