I have water seeping our of very small holes in the mortar between my bricks. These bricks are 8 feet under my basement floor.

The sump pump has never turned on because it is 8 feet above ground. What is the source of this small drainage? Is it coming from my house (a leaking pipe)? Or is it ground water and should I be concerned?

If the holes look drilled or purposely made, then I'd say it was known and planned for...everything's fine. If the holes are all jagged and it looks like the water washed the mortar out or away. Then, you should call-in a Plumber and a Foundation company to do some testing, document searching and evidence assessment. Nothing pricey, but just get some experts to eye the situation. You can also call a Realtor and just get out of the place.
