my gas water heater gurgles when the flame comes on how can i get all the sediment out i tried to drain it but there is still alot left

how can i get all the sediment at the bottom of my gas water heater out

When you have it drained, turn the water supply back on in bursts to push the sediment to the drain. When the water slows or stops, use the drain to crush bigger sediment chunks down to a powder and continue this process until you're totally clear. Then, replace your Anode Rod. With that much sediment you really need to replace the Anode Rod every 3 to 7 years, the heater will last indefinitely.
