A plumber installed a new hot water faucet for my clothes washer - no hot water.

A plumber installed a new hot water faucet for my clothes washer but I'm not getting hot water at the washer. Checked the supply line and it is connected to the water heater and I'm getting hot water to the rest of the apartment. Could one of the heating elements be burned out?

The "plumber" should have checked to see he had hot water at the washer when he completed his work. Sounds like someone has connected the washer to the cold side of the hot water heater. "Plumber" should come check his work for no additional charge. This possible misconnection may have occurred prior to his work, in which case, you will incur additional charges. A defective element will affect total apt. and washer the same.
